). I am also home schooled.My cat situation: My parents have always been strict dog people so we have never owned a cat and my moms poodle I never really liked it was always with her. But i never really thought about cats until i was bored one day on you tube and watched someones video of there cat(http://youtube.com/watch?v=tkMHPkhn5ek) And became memorized and for the fun of it did thousands of pages of research and fell in love with cats. AND I CONVINCED MY MOM
.Any way the reason i joined is because.............well I don't want this to sound mean but i want for my kitty(Which i am going to the humane society in a week and cant wait!!!!!) need me.... i mean since i am homeschooled and my parents are gone all day i need a furry friend, that is like Velcro all ways by my side......... Are there tips on how to make a cat less independent?
p.s.I am not jumping in to this with my eyes closed i am completely ready for the responsibility.

There is no way of knowing how a kitten or even a cat will turn out. Some are cuddlers and some are not. I can tell you that most cats are a little on the nervous side, so don't tease it meanly and don't play too rough. Try to keep loud sounds down if you can help it.

I'm glad you convinced your parents about letting you get a cat. There are so many homeless kitties out there waiting for people like you. And one of them is going to be really lucky.
