Well I stayed at the shelter till 9PM last night with a cat named Honey Bunny. She had 5 kittens yesterday. I'm thinking (and hoping) she was done when I left last night. It's good that I stayed because #4 was a little on the big side & she was having a hard time. I helped her out and he came out just fine. It wasn't much longer before #5 came flying out.
Moments like last night make me wish I had the ability to foster. I don't have the room and in addition I get too attched to cats at the shelter. I can't imagine how attached I would get to cats in my own home. Now I just hope that they all make it. New born kittens are fragile enough without having to live in the shelter until they are 8 weeks old.
