Exactly right!
Tink's a girl btw

Tom and Tink will remain with me and Spot has been reserved for a show home.

It will be an interesting season for me, must decide on the best strategy on how to grand all of them in a timely manner...

Thank you! Tom and Tink will (God willing) become Grand Champions, whereas Spot, once her coat gets better (still too light now, she needs to be sun bathed
) may become a Grand Premier. Spot will be the last (if it happens) to Grand...we have to concentrate on the entire siblings first due to sooner or later hormonal issues....

And I imagine, being such a clever breed, Abys figure out the "birds and the bees" much earlier than other cats!!

How in the world I missed this update is beyond me.... MY favorite Bulan Babies!!!!

I say Tom, then my darling Tink, mommy's little girl, and sweet Spot. I so want want want one. Those sweet, curious pixie faces. All full of love and mischief.

Abymummy you are going to have a hard time showing Tom and Tink at that same time.

You do realize if I ever get to your part of the world the only beauty I am going to want to see are your kitties. I wouldn't be leaving your house

Much strategy will be required for the showing of the kittens - so much so that one will be shown ONLY Malaysia/Hong Kong, and the other will be shown Malaysia/Rest of Asia. It should be very interesting - especially since my new foundation male kitten will be challenging them both come the new year....which just means they both have to Grand before him!

You're welcome to come and visit anytime!

Ok I have been dreaming about you flying all over Asia showing kitties. I cannot fathom how you get all that done! So please tell me. Do you do this all by yourself or do you have people that help you?

I know last year you showed several different breeds and I believe even one kitty that was not yours. So you are in demand as an exhibitioner, thus you must not have someone else show your kitties.

How in the world do you do it? I am exhausted just thinking about it and that is just showing, not caring for everyone and making those gorgeous rosettes!

Oh.....I have to say your photography has improved greatly

Answering the easiest one first:

1. Photography is good because I DIDN"T take the pics!!!!

2. On average I show anywhere from 2-4 cats - if it's a local show, maybe more! It works more or less like this - at the very least one Aby (mine) and I am permanently contracted to show at least 1 Maine Coon to grand per season as show agent (or co-owner for the season).

3. This season for example: I am campaigning Suria for DW which means he must attend ALL Malaysia/Hong Kong shows. Add to that the requisite 1 Maine Coon. This means in every show that I attend I will show at least 2 cats. However, due to the fact that this season I have 2 more very showable Abys (Tom and Tink), I must decide which extra baby goes where! Quarantine/import restrictions make life slightly easier. For example if you show a cat in Thailand, you can no longer show the same cat in Hong Kong. The beauty of Malaysia is that everyone can come to our shows...

4. I show alone, be it 1 cat or 6! However, there is always someone (exhibitor or friend) around who is more than willing to help me show, simply because I mainly show Abys and they are rare over this side of the world and my cats generally have wonderful show temperament

Let me give you this July as an example (an extreme one though):

Show schedule is like this:

July 06 - 2 rings Jakarta - easy one, no foreign cats allowed to show in Indonesia, therefore I don't go!

July 13 - 4 rings Singapore, no foreign cats allowed BUT the Asia Banquet will be held the night before and the sponsoring club are my very dear friends. So, I attend this show catless but act either as Master Clerk, Asst. Master Clerk or Chief Ring Clerk and upon request do some grooming for the Sib breeder there.

July 20 - 4 rings Bangkok. I had not intended to show at this show. However, at the request of the Maine Coon breeder I am contracted to, I will be showing 2 of his Maine Coons there (a kitten and an adult who needs 15 points to grand). Since I am going on his behalf, I made up my mind between Tom and Tink, and so, Tink will also be shown as well. This means that Tink becomes the SEA show cat for Masmera.

July 26-27 - 6 rings Hong Kong. I MUST attend this show for Suria's DW chase. Bringing along, of course, one Maine Coon! Tom tags along also since his area for showing is now set as Malaysia/HK.

Why do I do this? Because I'm crazy and because I can!

Masmera show plans for show season 08-09:

1. DW Suria

2. Grand Tom in Championship
3. Grand Tink in Championship
4. Grand the new red boy in Championship, attempt a DW for same in Kitten Class
5. Grand Spot (sometime this season I pray) in Premiership
6. Grand Mossi the Maine Coon in Championship (hopefully in the upcoming Bangkok show)
7. Grand Rami (the Maine Coon) in Championship (2nd 1/2 of the season)
8. Grand Itty Bitty, the Sib, if he comes to me, in Premiership.

The first 4 + point 6 is definitely do-able. 5, 7 and 8 will be up to God!

If Spot doesn't do well, I'll take her off your hands.

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and compliments. I will do whatever it takes to make my cats happy!
Point 8 is still very much in the air, his breeder is debating now what to do!

In Malay it just means Moonlight (Cahaya = Light, Bulan = Moon) but I like your Indonesian version better!

The other cats in the litter are named Masmera Sinar Suria (Sun Shine, see my siggy below) and Masmera Kelip Bintang (Twinkle Star). They are my "Heavenly Bodies" litter!

*gasp* Abby babies have the cutest ears I've ever seen. It's like they are so heavy they can't hold them up yet. I bet they flop when they run.

Sorry... I get irrational around baby kitties. Totally irrational.
