Morning All!

Cloudy but a bit milder here today, it's not snowing yet but that could change momentarily.

A bit on the tired side this morning, my downstairs neighbor and some buddies were watching a late hockey game last night and were quite boisterous until it was over. You know us Canadian and our hockey it's even worse were I live because I come from Bobby Orr's home town

Oh well he is normally very quiet except when it comes to his hockey

Heading off to work for a bit, then to the drugstore and the grocery store to pick up a few things.

Tonight I am going to do some baking when I get home. There is a baby shower for one of the girls I work with this week and I promised her a black forest cake
for it. I generally make the cake part a couple of days early because it's easier to work with if it has been refrigerated a couple of days.

The cats are good, doing the treat thing right now.

Everyone have a good one

I have 3 fashion shows I have to dress, so it'll be a busy day. The first time in years that I'll be missing the Super Bowl, and a great party that friends of mine have.
And this is the first year where I actually care about it.

Bummer. I'll just have to call them for updates.

Now, if I could only get off this site and start getting ready for my day.......

Have a good one, everyone!

Good morning,

Not much exciting planned for today. Yesterday I went for a thrift store shopping spree and found lots of stuff (3 pairs of jeans, 8 shirts and a scarf) but no mittens. So today I'll be heading to the mall to get a new pair of mittens.
Then I'll probably go hang out in some coffee shop and/or browse used book stores.

If I have time, I'd also like to make a batch of split pea, potato and mushroom soup tonight. Or something along those lines.

But for this morning, not much planned. I'll just relax a bit.

My mom's in town so we're going to visit her step-grandson who lives 30 minutes from me. Then we're coming home and I'm having a Super Bowl party with the neighbors. Go Giants!

I just put my smoked cocktail weenies and BBQ sauce in the crockpot.
Now I veg out until 3, then I go and heat the hot wings and make the queso dip.
At 4 I put the bird to bed, set up the card table in the livingroom and lay out all the food, at 4:30 it's Super Bowl time.

Cleaning, cleaning, and then more cleaning. Mom should be home tomorrow so I have to get this place in order.

No superbowl for us today. It's beautiful out though and I have the windows open.

No snow today!!!
Did some laundry, hung some pictures, cut up a pineapple, took a 2 miles walk outside (sloppy snow covered roads). Chipped the ice out of the bed of the truck so I can hopefully pick up Neil's new jointer this week.

Gonna finish up my first knitting project while the game is on (only watch commercials).

Another exciting day for me!!!

My friend is having a Super Bowl party I have to go to. I hate football but she wants me to show up to help her get rid of all the food and alcohol hehe. And I love her cats so I don't really mind.

We had a most exciting day so far: cleaning out the freezer and fridge, and re-organinzing it. Wow. Real swingers we are, huh?

DH is now sanding the kitchen ceiling.

I did enjoy making a Valentine's Day banner to hang on the mantlepiece, and did some holiday decorating.

I finally found my P-Touch label-maker that I've never used (bought for a song, brand-new, last year). You know, the thing that's supposed to help me get organized, yet I couldn't find it for months?
There's a metaphor in there somewhere, I know there is...and, it was in the logical place for it--with the blank labels and paper--in the desk. Just call me "25 Watts"--no, perhaps it should now be, "Christmas Mini-Lights". If my brain keeps on like this, I'll soon be nicknamed "Candle".

I went to the gym for 8:30am, got home about 1:30pm. Handwashed my swim suit, poached some chicken, answered some email and now I'm about to go and have a nap before finishing up the chicken. I also need to freeze some lunch meat and pork chops that I bought, into individual servings. And I am going to chop veggies and put them in the fridge so that I can make some soup tomorrow afternoon when I get home from the gym.

Hmm, today we went and got my eyebrows waxed for the wedding. Then we drove out to no-man's land to pick up our newest fur-baby from my friend. Then we pre-bowled for the first week we'll be on our honeymoon. I bowled a 92, 127 and 145! (My average is a 98). The last game, I tied with Rob (but his average is a 177, so he wasn't doing as good as he'd like).

Now he's finishing cleaning up for when his grandparents get here in about 20 minutes from Colorado. Then we argued about his compromise, which didn't seem like much of a compromise to me on coming back to the house after work 4 days in a row even though my dad reserved us a hotel room for a week so I wouldnt have to deal with the future in-laws that much until after the honeymoon.

Already the stress is getting to me, and everyone isnt even here yet!!! That, and trying to introduce the new cat to the 2 residents, ack!! It really was bad timing on my friend moving and us adopting her cat from her ... since we wont be here on Tuesday afternoon & Wednesday at all, then only a little bit on Thursday - Sunday, and barely at all the entire next week or week after!!
