Determining the sex (gender) of a kitten is easy when you know what to look for.
Lift the kitten's tail. The opening just under the tail is the ______. Below the ______ is the _______________ which is _______ in males and is a _______________ in females. In kittens of similar size, the distance between the ______________ is greater in the male than the female.

Reminder: New rules were posted yesterday. There were two changes. One of the changes was that everybody could play at all times.

Lift the kitten's tail. The opening just under the tail is the anus. Below the anus is the genital opening which is round in males and is a vertical slit in females. In kittens of similar size, the distance between the anus and the genital opening is greater in the male than the female.

Another newbie wins! Where are the Top Cats? Congratulations! You are today's winner of 2821 points!

Besides showing you how to tell the difference between a male and a female (in graphic detail), today's question showed you that answers can be found somewhere on The Cat Site or a link provided by The Cat Site that pertains to the subject.
That was the other thing that changed in the rules.

Since you are trying to determine the sex, it is probably a kitten. The forum most likely to contain the information you are looking for is Pregnant Cats and Kitten Care.
There you will find a sticky Important Kitten Care links. The one that is appropriate is
Determining The Gender of Your Kittens. Click on that to get the answer and some additional information (and pictures).
