i gave my cat some frontline drops 2 days ago and since that time she has constantly been licking it off, i put it between the shoulder blades but she still manages to get it all off, what shall i do as she is constantly biting and she could spread the fleas everywhere, i'm getting stressed over this

It doesn't go between the shoulder blades, cats can easily reach there. When you apply it you basically put it on the back of the cat's head.

Since you can't redose her yet, you could try waiting a couple of days then bathe her and use a flea comb.

i see, as thats is what it says on the box, to put the treatment between the shoulder blades...

my cat is like the devil taking a bath
i still have her old flea comb though, maybe using a old bow with warm water and dip the comb in that?

Put a couple of drops of dish soap in the bowl of water. Comb the cat and knock the fleas off the comb into the water. The dish soap breaks the surface tension of the water so that the fleas sink and drown. Comb a little bit, knock the fleas into the water and repeat. You don't have to get the comb wet. I've done this alot with kittens too young to treat with chemical flea treatments. You need to do this twice a day so you can get rid of as many fleas as possible.

Also, you need to treat the house to kill the fleas not on the cats. I use borax powder - Mule Team Borax in the laundry aisle of the grocery store. I close the cats in the bathroom with a litter box and some water. Sprinkle the borax powder over the carpet (work into the carpet fibers with a broom) or floors and let sit an hour - a couple of hours is best - then vacum up. Throw the vacum cleaner bag in the outside trash.

Good luck (I hate fleas)!

My cats do the same thing, and I put it behind the neck too, it drips a little and being they are shorthair they reach some of the excess.

It still did the job but they hated the taste of it. They drank some water and were fine after.
