Nuh uh...might give me away!
They misspelled my married name! My husband and I JUST noticed...the name they have is Chase...not Case!!!

I am just frustrated right now, because my handwriting isn't that bad, so someone, somewhere, wasn't paying attention. Now we can't file our taxes until we figure out what we're supposed to do. Because they messed it up, my W-2 has the right name, but SSA doesn't. *bangs head on desk*

Just put in a name change with your local office. Tell them what happened. That's why its important to print clearly or type it out

The issue is that I waited nearly 2 hours to get the new card with my married name on it before. I really would not like to have to do that again, lol. That and it'll take another 2+weeks before we'll get the new card, which means waiting longer than we'd like for our refund.

I know it's purely a convenience thing, but it's really annoying.

I don't know what to do about the taxes, but I have to refile an SS-5 form to get the name corrected. *sigh* My mom suggested I hyphenate my last name as wrongname-rightname in order to file our taxes.

How can they screw up a four-letter last name? That's what I want to know.
