Jimmy...

My Jimmy ... my bestest buddy since I was 5, he was an original, passed away after 13 loyal years of being my pillow and my shoulder to cry on. I've never mourned another pet as much since, and I don't think I ever will, even my dogs who give so much... but he was the first and best, breaks my heart to this day. We buried him under a walnut tree in the backyard but my mother had that dug up one day and the house will be sold one day, makes me so sad... I hope he's stalking squirrels and defending his territory and munching kibbles in kitty heaven these days... love you Jim-Jim, you rock.

I still dream about him sometimes... as if he was around, even though it's been years... strange how your heart can almost close a little door over a loss like that... maybe it's because we feel differently as children... love more openly...? I don't know, but thank you!

i think we never forget the impact they have on our lives. fluffy was the first cat that i lost after spending most of my childhood and young adult life with. i still think about him frequently even though it has been 14 years.
