Adoption Help

So, as many of the people on this board do, I recently started volunteering with an Animal Rescue group. It's small and local, and I'm just getting into the swing of things.

One of the things they asked me, as their youngest member, to do is find places to advertise online for the one poor kitty they have in a foster home. Other than petfinder and craigslist, I'm kinda at a loss.

Do any of you have stories of places you've found high success getting a cat adopted? Of course the organization does home visits and such, but I still want to help as much as I can.

What about flyers in the local vet officers?
Ads in the papers?

Local pet stores too (ones that don't sell cats obviously) - some of ours feature one of our cats on their website and have them in their store too

If your county / city / town has a website you could ask about having an advert on their site
