I made a thread similar to this is the cat forum. And just felt like putting on here too. I love mutts but I also have purebred favorites. What are yours?

My list

Clumber Spaniel (my next breed already have an unborn pup lined up)
Dalmatian (WORKING lines only!)
Rottweiler
American Pitbull Terrier
Olde English Bulldog
Fila
Rough Collie (WORKING lines only)
English Setter (my family breeds and shows them along with Irish Setters)

I love mutts..

I few purebreds I like are : Papillon, Border Collie, Retrievers, Great Dane, Pharoah & Ibizan Hound (I admire them, but I couldn't see myself owning a sighthound), Chihuahua, Poodles, Shih Tzu, Greyhound & Italian Greyhound. Schnauzer's are cute too.

I'm currently owned by a Newfoundland and can't ever see myself being Newfless! Their personality fits so well with my lifestyle and of course, they get along great with the cats!

My other dream breeds...even though some of them wouldn't fit my life very well due to energy level and/or prey drive....

Weimaraner
Dalmatian
Chesapeake Bay Retriever
Bernese Mountain Dog
Greater Swiss Mountain Dog
Havanese
Great Dane
Leonberger
Tibetan Mastiff
Siberian Husky
Alaskan Malamute
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever

ok...I'll stop there! LOL I love a lot of different breeds for various reasons!
I'm not a big mutt fan...even though I admire those who are! I need that predictability that comes with a well-bred purebred. And I enjoy AKC companion dog sports and most mutts won't be able to get AKC's ILP/PAL status to make them eligible to compete.
