The longest & coldest shower of my life!

I put dye in my hair, then go to wash my hands.

Yep, you guessed it, no hot water!

So, I had to rinse the dye & put in the condition in ice cold water.

I don't know how good that was for the dye, nor how well I got it washed out.

It's a different kind of brain freeze than the good one you get from ice cream!

OHH Poor Natalie ...

Oh, that stinks!

Ohhhhhh no!!!!! You could have boiled some water, put it in a bucket, then put some cold water in the cool it down a bit. Man that sounds like a lot of effort. You poor thing - you must have been so cold!

so does that mean you hair will come out blue?
haha Im sorry, that shouldn't be funny, but it is!

cold water helps lock in shine- your hair ought to look nice!

Isn't that what hairdressers are for? They seem to always have hot water or they don't get paid.

Thats what my hairdresser tells me. You should never rinse dye from your hair with water hotter than warm. Cold is even better. It helps to lock the dye within the cuticle of the hair.

The rest of you unfortunately will be mottled blue and frozen white. Poor baby!

I thought about boiling water, but the dye needed to come out like NOW. I realized we had no hot water about 25 minutes in.....and the dye was only supposed to stay on for 25 mins. I couldn't resist scratching my head, hence the dye on my hands.

And actually, Bruce, I wouldn't have purple hair. Intense Copper Red was the dye color.

It was also 9:30PM....no hairdresser, and even if there were one, it would've been 30 mins away.

I haven't looked in a mirror yet to see what my hair looks like, I hope it looks nice! (I have extremely short hair, it doesn't really matter what color it is...I don't much care)

Lukewarm actually....something's wrong with the hot water heater. Got a call into my uncle to come look at it!

Awww... still better than ice cold?!

Did you turn off the circuit breaker to the water heater as that might reset it!!
Hope your hair turns out ok!!

It's not a bad color, coppery like I wanted it. This is the best pic I've got at the moment...

Oh dear, but the cold water reminds me of what happened earlier this week. DH likes to take hot baths, which is fine but taking them about 2 hrs before you want to take one - is not fine, cause there is very little hot water left.

So he had taken one about 5pm (1/2 hr before I got home). You need at least 4 hrs to "recharge" to have a decent bath/shower. And I had to take one after supper. Was warm water to wash my hair, but then it was running cold and I had to take a very very quick bath (not even complete) in colder water AND rinse the conditioner out of my hair.

Needless to say, I was NOT a happy camper - freezing cold drying off and complained about him being selfish the rest of the night. Told him if he didn't take a shower/bath before 1pm (he works at home) then do NOT take one later, so that if I needed to take one there would be hot water.

BTW I love your hair - looks about the shade of red that I use

Very nice Nat. Looks like it's growing out quite quickly too.
