I put dye in my hair, then go to wash my hands.

Yep, you guessed it, no hot water!

So, I had to rinse the dye & put in the condition in ice cold water.

I don't know how good that was for the dye, nor how well I got it washed out.

It's a different kind of brain freeze than the good one you get from ice cream!

Ohhhhhh no!!!!! You could have boiled some water, put it in a bucket, then put some cold water in the cool it down a bit. Man that sounds like a lot of effort. You poor thing - you must have been so cold!

Thats what my hairdresser tells me. You should never rinse dye from your hair with water hotter than warm. Cold is even better. It helps to lock the dye within the cuticle of the hair.

The rest of you unfortunately will be mottled blue and frozen white. Poor baby!

I thought about boiling water, but the dye needed to come out like NOW. I realized we had no hot water about 25 minutes in.....and the dye was only supposed to stay on for 25 mins. I couldn't resist scratching my head, hence the dye on my hands.

And actually, Bruce, I wouldn't have purple hair. Intense Copper Red was the dye color.

It was also 9:30PM....no hairdresser, and even if there were one, it would've been 30 mins away.

I haven't looked in a mirror yet to see what my hair looks like, I hope it looks nice! (I have extremely short hair, it doesn't really matter what color it is...I don't much care)

It's not a bad color, coppery like I wanted it. This is the best pic I've got at the moment...
