Display looks weird?

Ok so @ my new boss bought a brand new pc. One with Vista on it. He decided he was going to be networking and wanted to use Win2000. So he stripped the pc and installed Win2000. Problem is, it deleted all the drivers and now it's all crazy looking.
I've went to the pc website and downloaded new drivers but nothing is working?
I've went into the display settings and changed everything in there but it just resets itself back to where it was.
Any input?
I'm thinking none of the drivers are going to be compatabile with Win2000.

you are thinking right, you need 2000 drivers for the hardware.

Yeah. I tried that yesterday and it's still not working I think I talked him into installing XP on it..... I really don't want Linux on it

did you makes ure you had the right version and the right drivers.
and the drivers where removed that where already there?

Well, I talked him into loading XP on it It's working fine now.. Now I can finally get some work done
