DH has been on a beer kick for 5 months now. His brother has been brewing at home for 2 months. Christmas time he got the Samual Adams seasonal flavors and one was an Oatmeal Stout. They usually exchange beers too.
The other day he came home with a bottle of the following:
Saranac Belgian Ale
Samual Adams Imperial Pilsner
Stone IPA India Pale Ale
Paulaner Hefe-Weizen.

I have been enjoying Hoegaarden.

It's really thick - someone else on there referred to it as 'road tar'!

The really dark heavy beers are not my thing. Although we did try something called Edmund Fitzgerald Porter (or Eddie Fitz as my BF likes to say!). It was heavy with coffee and bittersweet chocolate notes. We also like Chocolate Porter.

EF Porter is brewed by the Great Lakes Brewing company out of Cleveland. They also make something called Burning River Ale!
Too Funny. Don't know who here is of an age and lived in the region in the 1970s when the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland caught fire! I think that's the reference.

Mmmm. Beer.

I'm more of a wine person, but there's nothing like a cold and crispy beer on a hot day!!!

Especially at the ball park.

YVW! And you really should try it. It's so tasty.
I love that site. It gives all kinds of reviews and beer tips. I'm a fan of porters and stouts, myself. Though we do have a beer down here called Malzbier. It's very sweet and tastes so good. Great for the hot Brazilian nights on a random patio.

A good beer can be a beautiful thing. I like to have beer with BBQ in the summer, especially with fajitas. I like Canadian beer much better than American, but I usually want wine when I'm having a drink. Or two.
