i love cottage cheese

but only at the moment you open it.

I like the packed, dry cheese at the top. I hate it once it gets the pools of stuff in it

any ideas on how i can avoid the pools, other than cheese cloth and a bowl?

Yuck, I hate the stuff so I have no idea. I know with sour cream I turn it upside down and put it in the frige so when I open it I can pour out the excess.... Sorry I can't be of more help.

I love cottage cheese
I can eat a whole carton in one sitting
that's how I avoid the pools of liquid

Cottage Cheese is yummy, Especially paired with a tasty salad

For the excess juice - maybe you could try using a pasta strainer.
Not the round bowl type but the thin one you place against the pot/container.

I love to use cottage cheese as a salad dressing. I mix it with a variety of herbs and spices depending on what type of salad I am making so I prefer it to be a bit runny.
However I have found that the lower the fat content the more runny it tends to be..

I wish I liked cottage cheese..it is full of protein and I could always use protein but I just can't hack it, no matter how much I try.

My mom loves it though
Not sure about the juice solution

I empty the entire carton into a strainer bowl, in the sink. When the liquid has been strained out, I just dump the contents back into the carton and enjoy. It usually only lasts me a couple of days, and it's gone...so it isn't really a problem for me. I don't like the liquid either, lol!
