or at least those at british telecom.

ok in truth, I normaly have less headaches from BT then any other country phone service.

been tracking down, why we have lost all contact with the Widnes location in the UK, Finally we are told,

that the phone and T1 lines went though a buliding that had been demolished. that sucks, but ok..

i just got a call from the BT,
them: can you verfiy power at the location.

me: that is not the issue.,

them: we need to verfiy power before we can work the ticket.

me: power is not the issue, the lines have been broken call the cell listed

them: We are unable to get in touch with the site contact.
by the number listed. So we need someone to check power

me: you cant call them cause someone knocked down the bulidng the lines went though, call the cell number

them: can you give us a number for that location. so that we can check power

ME: err, the phones dont work.there is no lines going to the plant now. call the cell

them: we are going to put this on your time until we can get in touch with someone at the site.

Me:your giving me a headache, let me speak to your boss.

them: why

me: lets try this again, (speaking very slow)
The phone lines/T1 where cut, you cant call them unless you use his cell phone for the site contact.
them:eek:hhh the lines are down..

bangs head on desk several times

You ought to post that in the "Stupid Things You've Heard at Work" thread..

Hahaha I work in a call centre like that... but it's for a bank.
I have to admit, I understand where this guy's coming from. There are some days when I'll be saying "yeah, yeah yeah," and all my standard responses but then realise after five minutes "oh crap, what was this person talking about again?"
So then I just get them to repeat it and go "Oh, yes, I see, the system was coming up with something different..."

Yes, I'm one of those idiots at the bank that you probably hate!
But I'm not stupid all the time, I'm just lazy.
