Unless someone steps forward & adopts him, I have no choice. And no, it's not my choice, either.

If he's diabetic or has thyroid issues, I might have to euthanize him, but only time will tell. I will see who I can beg into takin ghim, as I cannot keep him forever or he will kill Ophelia(or vice versa)

He'll at least die loved & with me.....not alone after living in a cage. I do plan to treat him as long as I can & keep him as healthy/comfortable as I can so long as he & Ophelia can remain marginally peaceful, but the thought that he may have to be euthanized is always something on my mind.

I swore he was dead today he was sleeping so soundly. He's just so darn old, I'm always worried he's gonna die on me sometime. I'm terrible with such old kitties.

Hypothyroid (the kind that causes weight gain) is very rare in cats, and I dont know if diabetes causes weight gain or loss in cats. Fingers crossed it isn't a health issue though, and just him responding to being in a loving home environment. I do hope you can find someone willing to take him though. I am forever waking cats up cos I can't see them breathing!!
