I love my crock pot!!

I use mine about once a week in the winter to cook Pot Roasts. I use it often in the summer, too when I don't want to be cooking over the heat.

P.S. I got a really nice Crock Pot cookbook for Christmas!!

I use mine about 1-2 times per month, mostly on the weekends. I think it makes the best soups, stews, and chili, which is primarily what I use it for. I often slow-cook roasts in it, too--like pot roast. I've even baked in it; you need the not-included round baking pan, with a lid. I used to make a jam sponge (cake) in it that was delicious--not too sweet; perfect with a cup of tea.

I've never turned it on, and left the house, like some people do, as I'm paranoid about fires!

I almost never use my crock pot. My sister gave me a big 6 qt. one for XMas and frankly, it's just too big for only me. The only thing I've made in mine is Italian roast beef (for sandwiches), for the whole family who came over during Super Bowl.
Reynolds makes crock pot liners. They're like a big plastic baggie that goes into the crock pot, then your food. It helps with cleanup! I have a brand new box in the cupboard but I keep forgetting to use them! I only remember AFTER the food is already in there. Doh! So I can't really tell you if they work or not.

I keep forgetting to buy those liners too
I don't use mine that often, maybe once every 2 months.

This is my favorite crock pot recipe...it's delicious...I brown the meat if I have time though! I also leave out the Thyme because DH doesn't like the taste

Honey Dijon Pork Tenderloin - Crock Pot
1 1/2 pounds pork tenderloin
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
3 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon dried leaf thyme
dash garlic powder, optional

Sprinkle pork tenderloin with salt and pepper; place in slow cooker
In a small bowl, combine remaining ingredients; pour over tenderloin, turning to coat all sides. Cover and cook on LOW 7 to 8 hours or on
HIGH 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

I use my crock pot at least 2-3 times a week! I actually have two crock pots, one for me and one for Sierra & Serenity. I use mine to make my beans, they're so much better to me this way than on the stove! For my girlies, I use their pot to make their homemade food.

As previously stated, I don't feel at all comfortable leaving any appliance like this on when I'm out, so instead, I slow cook our food over night.

I love my crock pot!

My favorite thing I make is a put a roast in there, and then add 2 or 3 envelopes of Lawry's au jus and water (to package directions), and cook the meat all day. The roast just falls apart, and I split open crusty rolls, put beef, giardinara sauce, covered with a slice of mozarella cheese, I broil that until the cheese is melted, put the sandwich together, and use the au jus for dipping!

Depends on season. In winter, I cook roast/potatoes/carrots!
I also use it for chili and stew(vegatable soup as DH calls it lol) I think the pork chops sound very tasty!!

I also love cooking a roast(by its self) and then drown it on bbq sauce and have BBQ sandwhiches.

My Mom uses the liners and said they work great! I forget about buying them too!

Usually I buy whatever roast is on sale. Honestly, if you cook it 6 hours, any roast tastes great! You should make it for Superbowl...it's really awesome!

I used to use mine a lot, but not so much anymore. My pressure cooker, on the other hand, gets used a lot. Pot roast in 45 minutes.

Hmmm, I only use mine now and again. Maybe 1-2 times a month. We cook a lot of beef/potatoes/tomatos in it.

Pulled pork or Beef BBQ

A large Pork or Beef Roast (how many lbs depends on how many people you are feeding and how big your crockpot is)

1 Large Granny Smith Apple Cut in half and seeded

1 Lg onion Quartered

2 Garlic Cloves Minced (for softer garlic flavor add in whole cloves)

3-4 Bottles of your Fav BBQ sauce ( I like Kraft honey flavor)

1/2 Tea Pepper

Mix 1 bottle of BBQ sauce with one bottle of water in your crock pot add the onion, garlic and apple. Put roast in liquid in the crockpot and judge level of liquid add more(equal parts of water and BBQ) if needed just enough to cover the roast. Cook for 8 hrs on low or around 6 hrs on high. Untill fork tender.

When the roast is fork tender take roast out of crock pot and put in a large bowl. Now pull the roast apart, Once the roast is pulled apart add enough BBq Sauce to your liking if you like it saucy add more
I add salt at the end if needed. BBQ sauce has salt in it so I dont add it while cooking the roast.

I usually put this on a hamburger bun and serve with cole slaw and fries.

That sounds REALLY good, I'll have to try that next time I get a roast!
