I just got a new lens, a 24mm f2.8, very old manual sigma. It's a lot better than I thought it would.

I bribed Nikita with chicken to stay in a well lit spot so I could snap some photos and try out the lens.

Huh? What have you got there?

Big big eyes

Anyway back to the chicken, is there any left?

Yummy

I like the last one, with her tongue *way* out! All very nice pics though.

Did you ever replace your 50mm Nikon lens?

I bought one on ebay the same day I bought the sigma lens I used for the photos in this thread. The 50mm one hasn't arrived yet. I'm starting to get a bit worried about that actually.

Not huge sums though, I got the sigma one for under $50 and the Nikon 50mm f1.8 for a bit less than that. These are both 100% manual lenses and I have to do manual focus and exposure but they're very sharp and fun to play with.

Thanks everyone
It's really alot of fun getting a new lens to play with.

The Sigma 24mm is a great lens

Great pictures too... if you like manual lens you should give the Voigtlander 125mm APO f/2.5 a try
