Peppurr loves almonds... I gave him a tiny bite of almond once... since then, he begs me for almonds whenever I am eating them..
I am wondering if it is ok to feed my 4 months old kitten an almond or two everyday?

Thanks

Charlie likes almonds, but I would not feed it as an every day thing. Maybe once or twice a week would be fine.

I looked this up in my "Kittens for Dummies" book and there was fairly long list of things not to give your kitten but nuts was not on the list.

DON'T DO THIS!

Almonds contain cyanogenic glycosides which will result in cyanide poisoning. This interferes with the ability of the blood to release oxygen into the tissues, so the cat effectively suffocates while it's blood is full of oxygen.

EDIT: SORRY to revive a super old thread, but I found this really high on the google search results, and it took only a little more digging to find this information. Who knows how many people thought this was ok =S
