Just wondering what the typical behavior is for 6 month old kittens 2 weeks post spay. SHould they be back to their normal crazy kitten like selves?
ALSO...is it true that if your cat goes into heat before being spayed that their personality will change? Jassie is a different cat than she was pre-op and she went into heat 4 days before being spayed. I hope she snaps out of it - I miss the old Jassie.

My male was his normal self after just a few days.

Not sure, Ares was back to himself hours after his neuter, but I have noticed he is less hyper since the surgery. (Yet still active and playful.) I know that spaying is more involved as a surgery...perhaps it might take a little longer to get back into the swing of things? Is she showing any signs of infection, like redness at site, fever, etc? Hope that Jassie recovers quickly

I am so happy to report that Jassie is her old self again!
I came home from work a little late yesterday and was greeted with multiple head butts!! Now thats my girl!! It was a long two weeks, not being able to pick her up and comfort her, but I guess she just had to recover in her own way. Thanks for the feedback, it's always comforting to hear other peoples situations.

My boys were themselves after just a day or so after surgery. Then again I got them "snipped" when they were three months old. There will be NO BABIES in this house!
