I DO believe in Jesus as my personal Savior, I DO believe the, "only way to the Father is through Me" (quoting Jesus' words) I believe that with every fiber of my being. If that makes me bad in your book, I can't help that.


And they had his memorial service and I didn't hear anything about this group picketing. Did anyone else?

Just a quick note, that's absolutely fine as long as you're prepared to accept that other people might not think that. I.e they might believe something else with every fiber of their being. Be it that they are Ãsatrúar and worship the old norse gods or buddist or muslim or simply believe that strongly that there is no god or gods at all.

You'll definately think they're wrong since religious beliefs like that are usually mutually exclusive but they'll equally strongly think that you're wrong so basically forcing your worldview on others (and this goes in all directions) is what usually gets people's hackles up.

This is NOT especially aimed at you even though I'm quoting the bit you said there. You've not been particularly bad although there have been a few posts by other posters that really irritated me with their lack of even acknowledging that other people will have a different point of view from them so tying everything back to the christian god is counter productive in a lot of argumets/discussions.

I was actually close to arguing for the Flying Spagetti Monster god with equally strong conviction and vocabulary but decided against it. Heh..

We are fine, I don't mind you quoting me a bit. I see what you are saying.

But then it comes down to what an individual thinks is "basically forcing your world view on other" is exactly.

Of course I would love for everyone to come to Jesus, but if they don't want to than no one can or should try to force their religious beliefs on anyone.

I respect peoples' rights to whatever religious beliefs they choose, but I also believe in tolerance and respecting others, and I have absolutely zero tolerance for those who disrespect others such as this group is planning to do by picketing at a funeral! OMG! How incredibally insensitive. To me a church should be about love, but there is nothing "loving" about doing something like that
