My question is that I noticed a cat of mine who I brought into the house (she was a stray) seemed to be leaving these little brown seed like things whenever she sleeps on my blanket. Almost like she is shedding them from her butt. I apologize, I don't know how else to explain it. I took her to the VET when we brought her in but a stool sample was never checked. Any ideas what this is?

They could be tapeworm segments--usually they look like grains of rice. I would bring some to the vet and see if the vet knows what they are. If they are indeed tapeworm segments, he'll be able to give you a medicine (dewormer) to help get rid of them.

Could it just be bits of dried poop?

Maisie does this, not all the time but I do find tiny lumps of poop where she`s been sleeping sometimes. She gets bit`s stuck to the fur around her bum as she is long haired and she`s not to careful about cleaning there. I think it`s her age.

When tapeworm segments dry, don't they turn kinda brownish rather then remain white? Has she been checked for fleas?
