Okay so my room mate and I have been debating for about 2 months on getting a littermaid. The reason I didnt want to is because 1) we have NO WHERE to put it to plug it in besides my bedroom (and I dont want to hear the thing all hours of the night) so it would have to run off of batteries. and 2) the last one we had ran great for about 4 months and then the motor went out... not fun.
So we decided to go to petsmart the other day and look around. And we found this
guy. And considering it was around $100 cheaper than the littermaid we figured we'd give it a go. And it is amazing! Its so much easier to clean the boxes now! And we never have to touch the litter. All you do is roll it slowly on its top and then back over again and all the clumps are in the little tray and you just throw that in a bag and out the door! The only time we ever have to use the scraper is sometimes if the pee gets stuck to the bottom, but that doesnt happen too terribly often! But it also means that the litter box gets cleaned almost anytime either of us use the bathroom because all we have to do is roll the thing over!

Its also a great option for anyone pregnant because like I said you never touch the litter!
I just thought I would share my review with you guys! Hope it was semi helpful!

Hey!
I've got one of those too!
Do you have the "regular" (aka tiny) or the "large"? I had the regular when my two kittens were small, but I had to upgrade to the large soon after I bought the first one...
Just FYI, not sure how much petsmart charges for them but you can get the large on Amazon (with free shipping) for ~$40 I think.

My only cautions with it are that you need to check the clips often to make sure they are in the right place (and be gentle with them when you have to take it apart) and that you need to take the box apart about once every 4-6 weeks to clean the small pieces that get stuck on the other side of the grill work.. I soak mine in pinesol and rinse it to get the pieces off and clean it. It works great, but you do need to use a good clumping litter with it. I'm currently using WBCL and it makes the box even eaiser to roll due to the vastly lighter weight of the corn vs. clay litter.

LOL we already learned the hard way about the clips... one came lose and litter when EVERYWHERE but thats okay!

I believe we got the regular size but I'm not real sure (we already threw away the box) our cats seem to love it though so thats good! We are going to get a 2nd one very soon I think to replace the other normal box in the house.
We paid $32 after taxes I believe

I've got two of those. They're in the garage, the kitties use them as cat houses.

I hated the dumb things, use the wrong kind of litter & it wouldn't work...they were a beast to try to clean when I did a whole box cleaning.

I bought one of those when I first got Niko, thinking it was a fabulous idea. I still do, but it just wasn't for us. I got the "regular" size, which was way too small, even when he was only 6 months old. It ended up being more of a hassle because: A) I had to go peeking in there with a flashlight to see if it needed to be rolled, B) It's a pain in the butt to clean properly, and C) Niko's a digger (and likes a LOT of litter). He ended up breaking up his clumps into tiny nuggets that would slip through the sifter grate. I just went to an x-large pan and scooper- it ended up being much less work.
