What is the best April Fools Prank you ever did, or was done to you?
Mike is famous for his pranks, and early on in our marriage he would get me time and time again. A few years ago, for the first time, I turned the tables on him, and since then he has not done one prank to me on April 1st!
We were going out to eat at a certain restaurant a lot, as we had just started remodeling. At the time, we had 28 cats, 2 german shepherds, 1 border collie, a peacock and 2 horses. I talked with our favorite waitress and arranged for her to come up to our table all agitated and tell me about this pregnant female shepherd who had delivered 12 puppies and promptly ignored them. Mike is a such a sucker for shepherds and we rescue abused and negelected ones. When Donna told her story, I immediately told her we would be *happy* to take all the puppies and bottle feed them! LOL Mike's face was classic! I didn't even give him a chance to talk about it, just made all these plans to pick up the pups right after breakfast and get started! LOL
Mike looked like he had just swallowed a boulder! I know he was thinking about the hour feedings, the fact that there were 12 puppies! We finally let him off the hook when breakfast ended- but it was a classic "I gotcha Good!" The next day, he took me back to breakfast at the same restaurant and we presented Donna with a pair of slippers shaped like German Shepherd pups and they even barked!
