Ha ha - it's ok when he's relaxed and sleeping, but when he's getting settled, he almost perforates my head with his kneading - can be painful

That is a cute picture!

And I can relate...when I lay down to sleep or read, Willie likes to either lay down parallel to my side and put his paws on my shoulder and rest his head on paws, or to stretch out perpendicular to my head and put his paws under my cheek and lay his head next to mine.

He doesn't seem to "knead", but then, he was declawed by a previous owner(doesn't stop him trying to use the furniture as a scratching post, though. Since he's not doing any damage, it's really funny to see him intent on tearing up the back of the couch). Instead, he pokes me with, and lays his paws on me. Do you think it's the same thing?

I reckon so - I'm sure Jimmy thinks I'm his real mum
