Something weird from this morning

We had to go back to the hospital this morning (yes, twice in one day...) for an incision check since it's been weeping for the last 4 days. We parked and the car next to us was running, with the keys in the ignition, drivers side window open, a bag on the passenger seat, and the trunk unlatched but in the closed position (it was just ajar). I thought that was weird, but maybe the person was nearby just talking to someone.

When we got back to the car about 30 minutes later, it was STILL running, with the keys and bag there.

I called security to get them to come and take a look at it.

How weird is that?? No matter how much of a rush you were in, you'd think you'd at least turn the car off and take the keys out.

Yeah, that is really weird.

Maybe they wanted someone to steal it! Insurance money!!

It is weird though...

That or an extreme emergency. Still no excuse but sometimes stress can make us forget common sense.

That actually did cross my mind, but I figured if you wanted it stolen, you wouldn't park at the hospital in an affluent area I wondered if maybe the bag had something exciting in it.

The Emergency Department is on the other side of the hospital, is well marked, and easier to get to. I guess they could have dropped someone at Emergency, then come around to the other side of the hospital to park. But still...

Owww It could have been a sting operation like you see on COPS. Where they leave out a nice bike unattended and wait for someone to come along and steal it.

That is really weird! I'm glad you called security! You just never know.

Maybe the result of a nervous/forgetful first time father?
