I find that I'm rarely ever in a good mood or happy about something. I'm either irritable or in no mood at all. You know kinda just ehhh, whatever. I take a medicine for depression and anxiety, maybe that's what causes it? Has anybody dealt with this?

could be your body has adjusted to the meds, and isnt responding as well anymore. Might want to put a call into the doc and let them know, they might be able to adjust the meds, or try you on something diff. Hope you feel better soon!

I take antidepressants, too. They do make me feel better, though not all the time. Did you talk to your psychiatrist (I assume you have one who prescribed the meds) about this? Mine changed my dosage which helped.
Sending you some vibes

My doctor prescribed my meds. I don't see a psychiatrist but I've been considering it for awhile now.

Psychiatrist don't really do anything a doctor won't - don't spend the extra money... I've been taking stuff for over 10 years now and have been through it all.... You've probably just gotten used to the medicine. Talk to your doctor about upping the dosage, or possibly switching to something else. Most of the time, people don't take the same kind of antidepressent forever. Your body builds up a tolerance.

Good luck!!

I've done a little bit of reading on anti depressants lately & have read things about how it can make you feel numb, not yourself, like you have no interest in anything at all. My personal opinion would be to gradually get off the meds altogether & find a drug-free alternative.
If you spend a night reading about it online (NOT on the drug company sponsored websites, they are biased) you will probably find some scary stuff, depending on what you take.

Hello
sorry to hear that you feel like this. i have several questions. How long have you been using this medicine? Do you have a psychologist and what did they suggest? Have you tried any other anti-deps.
Meds work differently on different people. I think that if you have been taking this medication for a while it either needs to be adjusted (dosage wise) or changed all together. Also, keep in mind meds dont do the trick all by themselves. you have to help your self feel better and in conjunction with meds this will become easier for you. try doing things that make you happy even if they are simple. If you can give me the med name and how long you have been on it maybe i can give you better suggestions. I work with this all fday long so maybe I can be of some help

That's exactly why I never started taking the anti-depressants that my doc prescribed for me.
I don't like the thought of some drug controlling my brain.

I hope you get to feeling better soon! I have my good days & bad days too (due to a lot of stress in the past few years), but I've learned to live w/ them. I don't want to get addicted to a mind-altering drug.
Maybe your doc can come up with a better alternative..
