Would it be better if I were going to freeze a batch of lasagna - do cook if first and then freeze, or freeze raw and then cook completely later????

I made lasagna for dinner tonight, but had so much extra sauce and filling that I thought I'd just make a second batch for another day and freeze it. Not sure whether to throw it in the oven now or go right to the freezer!

Thanks!!

Hi! I just now got online and saw this, so I'm sure I won't be of much help since I'm sure you have already decided what to do by now, but I would think either way would be okay. I guess I would just have cooked it right along with the other one, and then froze it up after it cooled. That way the next time all you'd have to do is warm it up after you defrosted it. But either way would work.

Oh Hissy you posted right as I was! You must have been sending me psychic thoughts because as I said, I just decided to throw it in the oven! So thanks!

Thanks to you too Debby! I was thinking well maybe lasagna is part of the food group that is better the second time around, so cooking twice wouldn't hurt it. LOL.

i always make too much lasagne so i always freeze it and cook it again - it tastes just as good.
