I just had to get him shaved. Fur was everywhere. I do this once a year so he is used to it.

Well as always I gave the lady instructions not to shave the tail. Now he has a freakin tassle on the end. Yea King of the beasts right.
Poor Charlie. :disturbed

lololol.
Poor babe! He doesn't look too offended however, I've seen worse
Cute pictures.
Yeah I always get the BOOT cut done. They leave fur on the legs/tail/neck/head but shave everything else. Not much different from the lion cut, which is what your fella has.

I adore my isha's POOF, I could never trim her tail fur.

How in the world do you get a cat to stay still while you shave it?!
Do you sedate them first? I can't even imagine. . .

But Charlie sure is cute with and without his fur!!

Are you going to talk to this lady about your concerns? This is bad for her business!

Hooray! A fellow Floridan. There's only a hand full of us in here, you know! LOL!! I think Charlie looks like a handsome boy!! He looks comfortable in shorter fur. What great pics....

Cool Corvette, too! Your web site is very interesting. I was surprized to see MY picture in there, though—you know, the Hooter Girls shot! Bwaaa Ha Ha Ha Ha! *NOT*

he is so cute. Your groomer must of been thinking "poodle" just a bit too much.
At least he is nice and comfy now.

WOEII:

I never thought of having my cats shaved before. Who does that for you? (Seeing as we live in close proximity). Mine are short hair, but shed like the dickens. As a matter of fact, I just finished following them around the house brushing them. (They will not sit still, although they both like being brushed. They both have to walk around while I do it.) Most of the groomers I have seen seem like they only take dogs.

Hey Deb25- I thought of doing the same thing with my short hair boys. They shed pretty bad, too. I have to put 5 blankets (couch & chair throws) in the dryer every other day, tumbling them on the AIR ONLY setting and I can't believe the fur in the lint trap—It's the equivalent of an entire cat at times. Unreal!

I should buy stock in the "tape roller brush" company...they must be making a fortune off of people like us.

The only cat that would end up looking really funny after a shave is Peanut. He has a black and silver coat, but his under coat is stark white. I think he would disown me as a mommy if I had him done. I wonder if Spot has spots under all that fur....LOL! I am a wee bit concerned that they would have to sedate my cats in order to do this, too.

There's a company here in Lake County that will drive to your home and do all of the grooming from their custom grooming RV. Cats and dogs. Pretty cool.

I am at my wit's end with all the shedding. I tried to use a supplement in their food, like Mrs. Allen's Shed Stop, but they will have no part of eating it. When it's in the dry food, they eat around it. When I mix it with some canned on a spoon, they trun their bratty little noses up. I couldn't keep up with all this hair if it was my full time job!
