Which Gemstone Is Your Favorite?

I love them all but Sapphires are my favorite. Moonstone is a close second though.

I love rutilated (angel hair) quartz with blue turquoise, I got a pendant on e-Bay that has a teardrop shaped one, with a round blue turquoise one.

Diamonds are my favorite, but I also love pearls (especially the south seas colored pearls). My birthstone is the peridot, but I don't much like it.

I'd say either Amber, Amethyst, Labradorite and Lapis Lazuli.

My birthstone - amethyst - the purple one In fact, when I find the wedding ring I want (double heat) I have an amethyst stone to put in there. DH's wants an eagle ring (head or body/wings) with a small diamond in the eye. We didn't have a traditional courtship or marriage, so why have traditional rings?

Okay - asking gemlady that question is like asking you which is your favorite child! (fur or skin.. )

Diamonds are my birthstone but there are so many other gems out there!

One of my faves, too! I have a pear shaped stone in a ring and working on a pendant.

I loooooooove the blues and greens: sapphires, emeralds (though they can make them in a lab now and you can't tell the difference from ones that come out of the ground), boulder opals, blue topaz, spectrolite.... the blue and green ammolite - but I don't like Jade.

me too! yep I have quite a few purple stones....
in fact the ring my boyfriend got me is amethyst but a very light color....
its a "rose du france" amethyst. Pretty cool

Sapphires (my birthstone!), though I love tanzanite too. Most any bluish/purplish stone will make me happy.

I despise diamonds because I think they're ugly... no icky diamond engagment ring for me!

I love diamonds, emeralds (my birthstone) and rubies, but my favorite gemstone is the garnet. I just love the richness of their color.

I really like them all but garnet is one of my favorites.

Emeralds are my absolute favorite!!!! There's just something soo striking about them! I love them! I'm also a huge fan of diamonds, pearls, and sapphires as well

I am in that "diamonds are a girl's best friend" category but I love sapphires and garnets, my birthstone.

I love opals (my birthstone).

Topaz is my birthstone and I don't like it.

Tourmalines are cool, too. I have a ring that has a pink tourmaline stone in it, and I just love it!

Sapphires are my birthstone, too, and I do love them - they're just not my favorite.

When my Mom was here visiting last year, she had a ring that had a stone called a platinum topaz: it was sooo cool! I've tried to find one, but haven't had any success. I guess they're extremely rare..

I also love the black opals & fire opals (heck, ANY opal, for that matter!) I had the neatest pair of opal earrings once, but lost one of them, What a bummer..

I also love abalone jewelry - even though I realize abalone isn't a gemstone. Some of the moonstones are really cool, too - especially the multi-colored ones.

There aren't very many gems that I don't like! I am purposely avoiding the jewelry channel now that we have cable, b/c I know I'll just go nuts!

I love pink tourmaline (my other birthstone, besides opal). I love pink, and I love how it sparkles and shines. I don't really like opal though. And I lovvveee diamonds! I have a BEAUTIFUL one carat diamond that was my grandfather's. He got it from diamond mining in Belgium I think. My grandmother had it set into a single solitaire ring. I told my boyfriend he can propose to me with that, since it's something special and I'd rather him propose to me with something with sentimental value, then something he spent a lot of money on.
