I didn't realize she was that age, and hadn't heard about her being sick.

RIP, she was a lovely woman and very funny as well!

I just saw that, and it is so sad - I felt so sad for her when Tom died, so I'm glad that she isn't alone anymore.

Was it her who played with Richard Dreyfuss in The Goodbye Girl?

I think that was Marsha Mason. I felt bad for her too when Tom died...it's comforting to think of them together now

Oh, you're right - I always got those two mixed up.

Seems like a number of our favorites have recently died. I loved Suzanne Pleshette! I loved Tom Poston, too, so they will be together now.
It was Marsha Mason.

70 is much too young. My mom and I always liked her so much... she had a wicked sense of humor. And you could just see perfect she and Tom Poston would be together. She was all edges and he was all mellow... a nice couple.

She was the wife in the series where he was a psychologist. The ones where he was an inn-keeper, she was in the very last show where she reprized her original role as his wife and he wakes up telling her of having this weird dream about being an inn-keeper with a whole bunch of whackos around him.
