Oh I love poofy tails!
Smudge looks much better with a poofy tail than a rat tail!
I will have to say that she is adorable in both pictures! But I DO SO love a cat with a big poofy tail!!

This happened to my mom's cat Bitsy, too!! Because we had a bad experiences with a previous kitty and hairy rear ends while toileting, we were thrilled Bitsy's rear end wasn't too hairy but then about 4-5 mo, BAM. We were just thinking 'what happened??"
ooooo poofy tails are just the best!! You should see Bootie's when she gets over excited!
She's got the most enormous long haired poofy tail anyway, but when she's playing she looks like a feather duster with legs!
