It was bound to happen sooner or later. (gross)

Well, I stepped in my first hairball this morning. It was definitely from Mattie.

She's never had one before, I brush her every other day at least and she gets hairball treats (which have mineral oil, bleh) and I have the natural hairball gel (which I haven't used, but now I will be). Her dry food has hairball stuff in it too (Nutro Natural Indoor Dry).

Gross. Gross. Gross.

Yeah, you think that's gross? Well, this morning Baby had a hairball but I was already late for work--figured I'd get it when I came back. When I came back, the hairball was gone and the floor clean.

I don't live with any other human or animals other than my two cats. Conclusion?

...Yep, that's pretty gross.

I once had a cat puke in my slipper, liuckily I saw it before I put the slipper on but I have stepped in puke before

don't worry, you get used to it!! I think I stand in at least one every fortnight!

I used to be lucky in that we only had one cat with a proclivity to have hairballs, and Trent would make a real production of it. He's such a little drama queen! So at the very least, even if we didn't see it happening, we knew there was one, and approximately where in the apartment it would be.

Now, on the other hand, we live in a two story house and if he has a hairball on the other floor we can't hear it. We also have another one who has hairballs (Ginger) who is much more dainty and quiet when she pukes. So the odds of one of us stepping in a hairball has gone up drastically in the last year...
