So....I'm just curious. What was she planning on cooking, if it wasn't her aunt?

Sounds like some of the convos I have with my mom

Best is when she forgets what she was going to say, right in the middle of saying it.
The last time she did that, there was a pregnant pause, to which I said, Hello? You still there?
Mom says yeah, I just ran out of words

Potato....Aunt....yeah, I can see how she got them confused. What would scare me is the "I will cook you" comment.

Ummm, when she comes back in March, make sure she has a LOT of coffee to wake her up before you start talking about dinner!

Honestly, that is too cute!

Hmm... don't I remember something about your wife threatening to cook the cats? Or something like that?

I don't think it would scare me..... my mother used to threaten to cook me all the time!! I told her that she could go ahead and I would just be all tough and stringy out of spite but then again, she also used to threaten to rip my arms off and beat me to death with the soggy ends, to rip my head off and spit in my neck.... and every time I fell and scraped a knee and made a huge deal out of it, she used to draw a dotted line around my leg with a marker and tell me to "wait right there and I'll get the scizzors, you don't need that leg, do you?" By the time she came back, I was gone and my leg was miraculously healed!

We had an odd relationship..... we still do!! We're very close and our sense of humour can be a little twisted

So no..... I'd not be scared, but only because I'm me!

I would be too busy either laughing or doing what you did to be scared.
