Sorry I have not updated sooner! I have been super stressed and busy.
Backstory: My cat Serj; 3 yrs old, male, fixed, shots all updated, went to the vet bc he was acting weird and his breath was terrible. Well while there the vet listened to his lungs and they didn't sound right. He got put on anti-biotics bc he also had inflamed gums. A week later (earlier this week) I took him back in to get his teeth cleaned and see if his lungs were better. His lungs/heart sounded fine but once he got under they found something.
Update:
Serj has a dime sized sore in the back of his mouth. They did a biopsy of it bc they weren't sure what it was. The vet said that she has never seen a sore this bad before. She mentioned it could be stomatitis but since it was so bad she thought maybe it was cancer.
I took him in a few days after I noticed his breath was off. I can't believe he had this and I didn't really know. I do not check his teeth (he bit me pretty bad, redirected agression, I have a previous post about it). I don't know what to think. He is just sleeping more now and not eating as much (which is understandable).
