I'm glad that you're taking her to the vet, b/c it sounds like she has a URI which probably needs to be treated with antibiotics. And FYI, it doesn't matter if she's an indoor-only cat: you can track germs into the house on your shoes from strays that may be roaming in your yard. URI's are airborn and highly contagious..

I hope she'll be okay and that it's nothing serious..

I am wondering if it came from the Vets. She was there on Dec 20th for Blood Tests and she was ok then. Coco my old cat has been going alot to the Vet for her Bladder Infection. I winder if Coco brought germs in too.

it's very possible, she could've just caught a cold or have an allergy but it sounds more likely that she has a URI, nasty, but fortunately very treatable.

please let us know

Meeko has a fever that is over 104. They gave her a Ketofen Shot and Clavamox. The vet said to call her tomorrow if she isnt better at all by then.

It's very posssible that she did pick it up from the vet's: after all, other peeps DO bring their sick cats in to be treated...

I hope her fever breaks, and the meds do the trick..

As long as she is drinking she should be fine. You don't want her to become dehydrated. You can warm up and water down her baby food or wet cat food to make it more appealing. It is a natural instinct for animals to fast (so the body can focus on healing and not digesting) when they are not feeling well. But water is so very important because when you stop drinking water, you don't last long.

She will not drink water either. I will have to Vet give her Sub Q's. She finally peed today and there was alot. She had Sub Q's on Friday. I am going to ask them if they can force feed her too. Is there a way I can tell if she has a fever still?

If you got a thermometer you can check what the temp is! Same way you would check a babies.... right up the backside! Not very far though, you just have to get the tip in a little ways and try to make sure the kitty doesn't move to much while doing it!

sending you good healing vibes for kitty, can you maybe syringe some water down her throat?

Try giving her some warm chicken broth. I've tried that before when my furbabies were sick and didn't want to eat or drink. They'll usually drink that.

Sending more vibes your way that she'll improve soon! '

Her fever is gone now and she is rating. She still has the Ciugh and is on Clavamox. Last night Coco had a fever. I think its going from one Cat to the other.
