I did this a couple of times... I don't think the new members know what to do with them! Most didn't reply to my gifts and those that did wrote generally, 'Uh... okay... thanks (I think)."

I guess it is because I am still fairly new here and I am not sure where to look. But what exactly are the points for? Is that just how we can give gifts? I doubt I have many but I have never checked.
You have four gifts, they are listed under your location and point totals etc on each post you make
and
Points: 314
Bank: 1,407
So you have 1407 points in the bank you can use plus the 314 in your 'pocket'
