Molly had her annual trip to the vet tonight (well, she goes twice a year, but this is the worst!!), and had her bloods taken, and her booster - vet doesn't think we need to worry about thyroid, her heart is the high end of normal (but she was stressed) and she has put weight on since last time, although just has a hard belly, no fat. She was very well behaved, the best ever actually. She has a tiny amount of plaque on a couple of teeth, but vet says she wouldn't worry about them just yet - quite impressive for one of mine, none of hte others have got to her age without needing a dental!! Actually, none of hte others have got to her age. No reason for her scratchign her ears so much though, although they were slightly red - cleaning them is out of hte question, I couldnt even wipe the sawdust off her head earlier, and touching her isn't an option unless she either wants me too, or I ignore the hissing and spitting and win her round, and even then it is head only, I wouldnt be able to do much with her. Vet says she looks very good for her age, and we should have the results on Mon. I did forget to ask for a prescription for wormers though.

She is around 15, and I am fairly confident the blood tests will show she is healthy.

she did check her ears, the tops were just slightly red, but other than that, they were clean.

Well, the vet rang with her results today, and everything is absolutely perfect!! i am so pleased that she is in perfect health, and just a slight amount of plaque - very impressive I think for a 15yo, especially when I took her on thinking she didn't have long left to live.
