I wish when something has been previously frozen that it had a large label on the front of the package stating that fact!

The other day I was at Safeway and they had some Deli Pizza for $7.99 and buy one get one free. So I bought 2 and froze one. Today I took it out of the freezer to cook for lunch and reread the instructions to see if there were instructions on how long to cook it from a frozen state. There isn't.

I then see in a font size about this big on the back of the box, that it says "Previously Frozen"!

I'm sure the pizza is ok, but sometimes refreezing things leads to something being really mushy!

Frozen once and thawed is ok. But once something is frozen and thawed it should be cooked before it's refrozen. There was no indication that this pizza had been frozen before, so that's what I bought 2 and froze one. Had I known it was previously frozen I would have cooked it before freezing it and then just reheated in the microwave.

The centre was a bit on the mushy side. I cooked it at 350 degrees instead of 425 like it said on the package. I couldn't cook it any longer than I did because the centre was piping hot but the edges were starting to get dark.

It definitely shouldn't have been refrozen and then cooked. Lesson learned! I'll know better than to expect "fresh" when I see the term "Deli Fresh" in the future.
