My cell phone contract is up in about 6 weeks. So is it automatically renewed or do I have to stop in one of their locations?? Does it have to be the same location I started my service at??? Anything else I need to know??
I might change my plan but will go through my invoices first.

Thanks for the info

I guess it could depend upon your carrier....
I use Verizon...I would not have to go in to renew it(as in your service still works the same etc.) but if I do, I get the new every 2 phone with renewal. You can also change your plan at anytime. You can go in to any store of theirs it doesn't have to be the one you started at.

Mine automatically renews, but I'm sure its different with each plan. I would contact your provider & see what the rules & conditions are

I've had multiple carriers and generally when your "contract" expires they automatically put you on a monthly plan. Personally, I don't understand the contracts but if you change your plan or phone it may require a new contract.

I have a Nextel (now Sprint) that I got in 2004 with a 12-month service plan. When it expired, I never renewed it. I don't appreciate being locked into a contract like that.

I did change my service plan with the same provider about a year ago and was NOT required to enter into a binding contract, although they did try to "sell" me on it.

It usually stays the same unless you decide on another type of plan for the next contract. Also, the good thing is that when your contract comes up you are entitled to phone upgrades!
