User name change?

Is it possible to change my user name to something else? I didn't realize we had another stormy here so I don't want ppl to be confused Any help is appreciated

The general policy is not to allow username changes.

11. Members are only allowed to register one account for themselves.
We wish to keep discussions among members coherent hence we do not make changes to usernames unless a substantial security/privacy issue arises.

I don't think it should cause much confusion. Stormy is a great name BTW!

Just wanted to add that we do allow name changes if the poster has no posts (or very few, like under 10), or on special cases where there's a good reason for it (like privacy issues).

I won't worry about it now lol. Thx Stormy, it is a great name haha. I actually forgot that I did register an older account awhile back, like a few years ago called stormchickx, so I guess there wouldn't be any way to merge those two accounts, would there?

I went and looked at your profile and it was as I expected; you were born in 1978. A lot of people use the year of their birth on here. I think it makes it easy to remember which stormy you are.

It is actually possible to merge user accounts. I'd just like to clarify that we're pretty strict with the "no more than one account per user", but I can see how that can happen and that it is the same person.

I also think it's similar enough to the current username, and since you don't have too many posts under your wing just yet (I hope that will change soon enough ), I think we can safely move ahead with the merge.

Please either post here again to confirm, or PM me. I want to make sure that you remember to log in as stormchickx next time and that you have your password for that account (otherwise, please PM me and let me know which password you'd like to use).
