dog grooming question

How do you get rid of those brown marks under a dogs eyes, the ones that look like brown tears have been falling. I have been bathing my sisters maltese and i can not figure out how to make those go away, i tried a warm washcloth but am scared to put anything near her eyes. ANy help??

I used a product called Eye Envy when my little girl was still alive.

It works really well as you can see in these pics

Eye Envy! Well at least it works great for persians and exotics....
