I know she's busy I would've figured if she wanted me to meet the kittens this weekend she would've called or emailed me this weekend...
I don't have her number or she would probably hate me by now
so impatient...
I supposed there's a slight possibility that she could've meant next weekend but I don't really know how.
"My one concern is that (name of fosterer) said something about your wanting to leash train the cats? That's most likely not something I would want for these babies. The only cat I know that would enjoy going places out in public would be Rio. She even goes for walks with us. We can talk more about it, and you can explain what it is you are expecting from your cats and then we can decide if your situation would be right for the Bengal kittens."
they only adopt out on indoor only contracts, which I understand, but they don't even want me to lead train them? I am very worried that because of this now they won't adopt to me
I emailed her back, I lead trained 3 cats now without incident. I really hope this doesn't end badly.
I hope everything goes well with those bengal kitties if you are able to get one. I was very lucky to get a pure breed maine coon at a shelter. I hope that they let you love one of those bengals
that was a close one.
I emailed her back and assuaged her fears, (I think)
she emailed me back and said,
"Oh, that makes me feel lots better. I was very
concerned. Most cats are territorial and panick when
they are removed from their personal space. My blue
male would love to go anywhere with you. The little
girl might not be quite as excited about it, but since
they are Bengals, you just never know."
okay, well, I don't have them yet, but I met them today and I've been accepted and everything.
She even let me name them (she posts them up on the "adopted" page of their website) already.
They're about 6 or 7 months old, marbled bengals. the male is blue and the girl is about half his size and a stunning chocolate/caramel color.
I hung out at the house with them for about a half hour and chatted with the rescuers and watched the kittens play with the dripping water facet
I'm in love!
only thing is that they have a little diarrhea problem, which after speaking with her she's willing to let me take them despite that little problem because we both think that they'll get better much faster here at my house. Also the blue boy just came down with a little eye infection yesterday... the vet has looked at it, but I won't be able to bring him home until it's cleared up. It may be herpes, so if it is, we'll take it from there.
I took pictures but I can't get them off my boyfriend's camera just yet so you guys'll just hafta wait a little longer.
