hi all! this is my situation...my grandmother has a cat (she lives with us) named fiona. every time i get near her, she runs out her window, or under the bed. is there any way that i can let her kow that i mean no harm?maybe a t-shirt?

If you want her to stay then I would suggest feeding her. This will help gain trust and she will realize that her full stomach feeling is associated with you. Remember don't rush it!!! Never force anything on a cat. When she is ready she will come to you!

AND make sure you always approach her calmly and at her level. Don't just start petting her head, hold out your hand below her nose so that she can sniff you, then feed her. Keep this up for a while, make sure she knows she's still the 'dominant' one, and eventually she'll let you pet her. Take it small steps at a time.
