Siamese Cat Rescue Center's need for foster homes in the Northeast is greater than ever. Presently NE Siamese Rescue has only 8 active foster homes in three northeastern states: CT, MA, and NH. We cover all 5 New England states, where many needy Siamese wait to be rescued. While awaiting space in our program they languish in shelters, or out in the cold, where their chances for rescue dwindle with each passing day.

Our New Years Resolution for 2008 is to recruit more Fosters. We want to move more deserving Meezers out of shelters, off the streets and into permanent homes, but first we need more foster homes to place them in for care and safety. Please help us find more people just like you, who love Siamese cats and can provide loving foster homes for them.

You can help by printing and distributing the attached flyer, Fosters_Needed, in your community and among your cat-loving friends. Good places to post flyers include veterinarians offices, pet supply stores, community centers,
libraries, bulletin boards at work, even craft stores (don't crafters always have cats?).

Please let me know if there is a problem with the pdf link.

Thank You!

I'm excited to say a friend of mine just got approved to foster for them in NE Ohio
She was due to receive her first girl, but sadly she had to be euthanized due to serious health issues that surfaced after her spay

I'll keep spreading the word :-)

I live in the No. Va area near DC.
Fuzzmom, I would truely help out even as a "temp" foster, but I live in VA

I can provide transport to DE/PA area - but that won't help your cats
will it?

Try advertising at Petsmarts, where they do animal adoptions, at vets (where someone might want a cat but not to commit to forever, just
to help them over loss of a pet or something like that?)

Not sure what else to suggest.

SCRC has foster homes all along the east coast. In fact, the physical shelter is in VA! Foster homes in VA are also needed!

I sent this out because people can download and print out the pdf flyer and post it in their neck of the woods. We don't need foster homes just in New England, we need them along the entire east coast.

But New England is hurting right now for foster homes, except RI. I believe you can't foster in RI unless the physical shelter exists in RI.

If anyone has any questions, I will be very happy to answer them!

Thanks!

YES!! Volunteers are definitely needed in NC!

Please go to http://va.siameserescue.org/VAvolunteer.php and under Volunteer Application, click on the Click Here button to access the Volunteer Application form.

SCRC provides all training needed and it takes approximately 1 month to become a foster home. If you have a spare room, daily email contact, MS Word capability and your resident cats are indoor only and FeLV FIV neg, you can become a foster home for Siamese Rescue! SCRC pays for approved medical costs, you provide food, litter and love.

Thank you Siamesemommy!
