She is about 10 months pf age. It's been over a month and a half since she was found with a broken jaw and massive infection. My vet chose not to surgically fix tthe break because of where it was brokenl. After antibiotics, pain meds and lots of TLC including liquid slurry, she has healed. We decided to let her out of the downstairs bedroom on Jan. 8 2008. (It is too cold to try and place her back with the Colony and we feared she might not be accepted back either. Amazingly she has been accepted by most of my fur-kids and tolerated by the few (Maddie and Zoey) who do not care for her much. What a lovely girl she is. Her jaw is healed, and she now has a 'crooked smile' as my vet says but otherwise healthy and now very loving. Hard to believe considering how truly feral she was, her mother is a 2+ year old second or third generation feral according to my neighbor. Whenever we have people over she hides but if it is just us she will come upstairs and follow you every where talking all the time. My cats are so excepting of others, really surprises me. I've never tried adding an almost adult cat or an adult to the group we have. DH laughs at me now because I begged him not to let her out, me invisioning massive fighting, us trying to get her to go back into the bedroom ect. I'm sure you all can relate to that!

What a great story and what a beautiful girl. Her crooked smile just adds character! And as long as she can eat with it..... who cares!!!

AddieBee- Yes she can eat dry food now, still has trouble with canned unless you add some water. Her Slurry days are over though! LOL yes it does add 'Character'. She is quite the girl for sure.
