Tripping on a hole in a paper heart
(Stone Temple Pilots)

My turn! (You better be old for this one)

Why they changed it, I can't say,
People just liked it better that way

Wouldn't it be The Four Lads? They Might Be Giants weren't around in the 50s.
(My grandma had that and many older songs on some collection years ago, that's the only reason I know.
)

The Four Lads did it first, They Might Be Giants did the version most of us know, I think.

Yeah, that's the one I was talking about. I thought it was too old for anybody to remember; I didn't know anybody else had did it.

I'm a bit if a stickler for details... and remember useless stuff too. I also remember it from an old looney toons cartoon.
I didn't even know They Might Be Giants covered it until a few months ago when I saw the video.

Since I threw this off course a bit (sorry
) how about we put it back on track? It took me a while to remember..

Here's one at least two or three people should know.

Dreams by Fleetwood Mac

my turn....

O, I believe
Fate smiled and destiny
Laughed as she came to my cradle
Know this child will be able
Laughed as my body she lifted
Know this child will be gifted
With love, with patience and with faith
She'll make her way

Under the cats, mostly.
Hahaha you haven't killed it, it was just waiting there for me!

Wonder - Natalie Merchant

My turn!!

She's walking there alone
No one by her side
She manages to hide the tears
But the pain inside
She can't hide
And all the tears she's cried

hmmm....it sounds familiar but I can't really say that I know. I don't want to cheat and google it, so hopefully someone else will come along who knows this one.
