Hi everyone, I've been desperately trying to find a site where I can get advice about my feline friend whose days are numbered with me! I'm at the end of my rope and ready to boot her out the door. Except I can't do that...I honestly believe she was sent to me by God at a time when I really needed her!

Let me start at the beginning...I have difficulty typing and may not last too long, but here goes... A few years ago, I began to get ill and was unable to work eventually. At that time I had an older female cat living with me who had been homeless, but I started feeding her because she seemed hungry. Now mind you, I DID NOT like cats. I had never met one I liked or got along with and by the same token she DID NOT LIKE people. For the longest time she came, she ate, she left. And we got along perfectly!

There came a time she started to hang out a while after eating, then when she was ready to leave politely went to the door to leave. She'd then disappear til the next day. Meanwhile I was becoming sicker and she took to hanging out in my bedroom. She still avoided people, but seemed to grow attached to me. My son left home, I was getting worse and had to go to the hospital...I callled 911 and this dear cat who hated people would not leave my side when all the 8 paramedics filled my house!

After that, our relationship changed and I changed her name from MsKittyPiz to Angel, because she was my Angel. I loved her dearly.

As a result of being unable to work I became homeless. She came with me on my journey through homelessness all the way from Fl to Az. We ended up on the street in Az and then I went into a shelter, but I couldn't find a place for Angel. I found a place she could hide and I went over to feed her everyday. Until one day I went over and she wasn't there anymore. My heart was broken...To this day my heart hurts whenever I think of her. I'm in tears as I write this.
I just pray she's safe and happy wherever she is. I've even thought of contacting an animal communicator to see if I can find out anything about her.

That was a year ago, and I'm in my own apartment now. A short time after I moved in here, I was being broken into around 2 am and after I chased the
SOB off,
while on the phone to the police dispatcher, I heard something at the back door and when I opened it, there stood the most beautiful white (albeit, filthy) cat I'd ever seen! She marched into my home as if to to say.."hi, I live here now. I'll let you know the rules as we get to know each other."

Well this little gorgeous, young, feline has won her way into my heart, but her favorite pastime is to attack me biting and scratching me until she draws blood! I've tried everything, but to no avail. She destroys everything and jumps all over the place like a whirling dervish on speed AND crack!

I miss Angel so much and had been praying about getting a cat when she appeared. It's as if she was an answer to a prayer.

I would love to call her something other than "NO, BAD KITTY. THAT HURTS!!"

I hate yelling at her, I don't believe in declawing, or hitting or any violence, she's fearless and SHE WILL NOT LEAVE! Not that I want her to leave, I have grown very attached to her and am quite fond of the little, precious critter.

I'm truly at my wit's end and I hope you can help me. I need to get her spayed, but funds are short at the present time.

Well, I must quit now. Thanks in advance for any replies...ffrom what I've been reading there are a lot of people here who love cats, so I'm real hopeful about finding a solution.

Wow. What a sad story. I'm very sorry about Angel. My cat has spells when she goes crazy and attacks me but I know that she is just playing. I'm sorry I can't be of much help but someone else probably can.

Hello & Welcome to the Cat Site!

Sounds like you've been through a lot...happy to hear you are doing better now

You should try posting your kitty scratching question in the behavior or health forums,
so more people can see that you have a question. More people would see it that way

Best of luck with everything
Hope you enjoy the forums

Thank you all for your wonderful responses and to envelop us with so much love...we both need it and are long overdue. I have a feeling my kitty has also been through some rough times before she found me. I wish I could make her understand she's so much better off here with me than "out there" with anyone else. I will love her and spoil her!
And feed her so well!!!!!!

I just cannot handle her hurting me much more. I should send in a pic of my legs and arms. Not very pretty! My
would never hurt me! Oh well...
enough of that...time to work on a solution. I did post on the behavoir site and funny enough, I have already tried some of their ideas.

I've had suggestions from others that have not been so helpful...Throw her across the room(!?!?!?) Of course this is someone who believes in spanking her kids which I never did. Or, throw her outside...DUH!
There's a good way to get a few more kitties to get used to.

Besides, she won't leave...even when she was in heat...SHE WOULD NOT GO AWAY!!!
HEHE I tried once!

I'm rambling...I just wanted to thank you all so much for the warm welcome...it means so much to us.

Love, scarecrow & Ms "NO! Bad Kitty"
from us to you!!

Hello & welcome to tcs. I had the same problem with my Blossom when she was a kitten. She'd chase anything that moved, namely our legs & feet. She's calmed down now & only does it if we pet her in the wrong places.

Thank you!!! I'm having trouble with posying pictures...I would love to share photos of my dear, little "No! Bad kitty!"

I'm also feeding a few strays (feral?) cats that have come around. I even set up a kitty motel...it's been so cold here at night and a few are tiny! I must say, I should start charging....I've had 100% occupancy!

I need to find out about helping to get these younuns fixed to nip this kitty creating in the bud! I love the little cuties, but they're COLD! and HUNGRY!
I can't afford to keep feeding the world!!
