I have a stray cat that came to my house 2-3 months ago. She took over our house so she is staying. For the past two weeks she has been eating any cat food she can find around my house. Since my male cat has been neutered since early summer her can't do anything.... but there are other cats coming around that are mostly males with homes. She has been a lot more happy when I pet her more around her stomach area. About 2-4 weeks ago she was in heat. We don't know how old she is or anything about her past. I noticed today that she got wider and more fat since I saw her yesterday morning. Since I never had a pregnant or female cat I need to know some signs of pregnancy. If she does have a litter of kittens I need to know as much info about how many she can have and what to do. We will keep the kittens. If there are to many I will find good homes. I just want to be prepared.

The only sign on there that I see is her nipples will be bigger or more showable. Its kinda hard to tell because she has long hair.

When they get farther along the hair around the nipples falls off and they're easily noticed! Did you worm her just out of curiosity?

no because we haven't been able to get an appointment with our vet yet. He gets a lot of patients so its hard to get her in on weekends and after my mom gets back from work. She hasn't been to the vet since she has been here. I don't know if she has before she came to our house.

worms are very common among kitties and make them bigger around and eat more! I would get her checked out for worms! If she's a stray, its very likely she has them!! Good luck!
